S.M.O.O.O.T.H. is an unprecedented attempt to eliminate the epidemic of Domestic Violence and transcend those affected from hurt to healing. Our mission is to empower, educate, and prepare survivors of Domestic Violence by acknowledging, celebrating, and affirming their whole selves.
We believe that those overcoming abuses are unique and deserve a multi-pronged approach when being engaged. We believe that Mental Health + Financial Literacy + Access to Resources can drastically affect the trajectory of their lives. We gain access to survivors while in transitional centers, assess their needs, aspirations, and self-awareness to connect them to reputable community resources (Counseling, Internships, Financial Resources, etc.). We provide our Butterflies with emotional and financial assistance.
S.M.O.O.O.T.H. is a non-profit Domestic Violence [Campaign] fueled by a mother who was a victim of domestic abuse. It was founded in 2013 by Sabrina Greenlee.
The South Carolina native is the creator and founder of S.M.O.O.O.T.H., Inc. [Speaking Mentally, Outwardly Opening Opportunities Toward Healing]. She aims to educate and empower as many women and children as possible through mentorship, counseling and outreach initiatives. Sabrina’s passion for her community and helping others has been a catalyst for many domestic violence awareness programs and projects. The mother of four and grandmother of five created and facilitated events such as Pretty Scars Into Stars and S.M.O.O.O.T.H. Santa, and building the foundation for the S.M.O.O.O.T.H. Transition initiative. Sabrina has survived to tell her story, finding hope in hopeless situations, and vows to share her testimony to heal as many people as possible.
